A Quaint Milwaukee wood storm window and door's are made from quarter sawn Sapele lumber and uses mortise and tenon joinery. We are able to build fixed storm windows to match the original design and details of your home, or we can build combination storm windows that have removable glass and screen inserts. Each storm window is built to fit your home, fitted to each opening and is accessible from inside your home, no need to put up ladders to switch out storms and screens each year.
We build any size, shape or design to fit your home correctly. We measure each window to have proper scale of the lower rails and make sure each divider is right where they need to be. We build storm windows for double hungs, casement, eyebrow, picture window and anything in between. We have build storm windows that are 1 foot tall and even 9 feet tall. We pride ourselves in our joinery techniques, no dowels, screws or metal brackets. All of our windows use traditional mortise and tenon joinery, the same techniques that your original windows use. We also use the highest quality solid lumber you can get, no pine, no finger jointed wood.
